Linking actions

Connect actions to diagram elements in new and existing projects. Linking keeps your diagrams actionable, so you can track and address tasks directly within the context of your project.

Link an existing action to a diagram element

Step 1: Create a new project and diagram, or open an existing one.

Step 2: In your diagram, click an element.

Step 3: Click the Actions button.

Step 4: In the pop-up, click LINK. The Link Existing Actions window opens. Select the actions you want to link, then click SAVE.

Step 5: The newly linked action appears in the Actions pop-up.

To view a linked action, click the arrow icon beside it in the Actions pop-up. A new tab opens showing the action in the Action Register, with the linked project listed at the bottom. Click the project name to return to the diagram.

When an action is linked to a diagram element, its visibility is restricted to Project or Public only. See Action visibility for details.

Unlink an action

Go to the element where the action is linked and click Actions in the pop-up. Click the delete icon on the action you want to unlink, then click DELETE in the confirmation pop-up.
